When preparing for a summer camp experience in Spain, it is essential to understand what to expect in order to help children come prepared and allows families to feel confident that their kids will be comfortable, safe, and ready to enjoy every moment.
At My Spanish Camps, we are fortunate to be located in a privileged natural environment that offers the best of summer: sunshine, fresh air, and perfect conditions for adventure.
Summer in Spain: warm days, cool nights
Summer in Spain is generally warm, especially during the day. However, our campsite is located in a mountainous area, called Villamediana de Lomas. This location gives us a great advantage: temperatures are much more balanced than in the city.
During the day, it can get quite warm, creating the perfect setting for outdoor activities, water games, and pool time. In fact, we intentionally schedule swimming and water-based activities during the hottest hours to help campers stay cool and reduce the risk of heat-related issues.
At night, temperatures drop noticeably. This natural cooling is one of the great benefits of our location, as it allows campers to rest comfortably and sleep well after a full day of activities.
Ready for warm days
To ensure campers are comfortable during the day, we recommend bringing:
- Light and breathable clothing
- Shorts and t-shirts
- A cap or hat for sun protection
- Sunscreen (essential for daily use)
- A reusable water bottle to stay hydrated
- Swimsuit for pool time and water activities
These items will help children stay cool, protected, and ready to fully enjoy all outdoor experiences.
Prepared for cooler evenings
As the sun sets, the temperature drops, so it’s important for campers to be prepared for cooler nights.
We recommend bringing:
- A warm jacket or coat
- Sweatshirts or hoodies
- Long pants
This way, campers can comfortably enjoy evening activities such as night games, shows, and group dynamics without feeling cold.

Safety and adaptability: our team is always prepared
Beyond preparation, one of the key elements of our program is the constant supervision and adaptability of our team.
Our counselors are always attentive to weather conditions, ensuring that children stay hydrated, protected from the sun, and comfortable throughout the day. Regular water breaks, sunscreen reminders, and shaded activities are part of our daily routine.
In case of unexpected weather changes, such as rain, we are fully prepared with alternative plans. These “Plan B” activities are often a highlight for campers. Despite bad weather conditions, fun, creative, and slightly different from the usual routine games bring the group even closer together.
A summer to enjoy
With the right preparation, a beautiful natural setting, and a team that is always attentive and ready to adapt, campers can enjoy every moment safely and comfortably. Adventures never stop because adaptability makes My Spanish Camps a place to enjoy without limits. You can discover our multiadventure activities clicking here.
