At My Spanish Camps, we believe that the most profound learning doesn’t happen behind a desk, it happens when a child feels the splash of a river, the crunch of a mountain trail, and the breeze of the Cantabrian Sea. Our excursions are designed to be much more than just “trips”; they are opportunities for our campers to immerse themselves in Spanish culture, build deep friendships, and discover what they are truly capable of.
Every journey outside our facilities is a carefully orchestrated balance of excitement and expert-led safety, ensuring your child can explore with confidence while you enjoy total peace of mind.

A day on the water: kayaking and white-water rafting
One of our campers’ absolute favorite traditions is our day at the lake and river. We begin the morning at the shore, where the calm waters provide the perfect setting for kayaking. It’s a time for laughter with counselors, relaxing on the banks, and the inevitable, joyful jumps into the water.
After the lunch in the park, the energy shifts to the river for white-water rafting. This is a highlight of the summer! Rafting requires high levels of concentration and teamwork; the children must listen to their instructors and work in harmony to navigate the rapids. Set against a breathtaking natural backdrop, this experience will bring some of the best moments of the program.
Under the Spanish sky: hiking and stargazing
There is something transformative about a night spent under the stars. In the afternoon, our campers pack their backpacks for a manageable hike through the nearby mountains. These trails are where the best conversations happen, where older and younger campers support one another and truly get to know each other away from daily routines.
After a night of games and stargazing, we go to sleep in tents with our friends, and next morning we wake up to explore the history of the surrounding landscape, learning about the secrets of the environment before hiking back. The celebration of our return is a refreshing bath at the swimming pool to toast to our shared journey.
The coast calls: surfing and adventure park
Just an hour away from our base lies the stunning coast of Cantabria. We partner with one of the region’s premier surf schools, where professional instructors guide every child, whether total beginners or confident swimmers, so that they catch their first waves. Surfing is the ultimate way to step out of a comfort zone and embrace a new challenge.
After a well-deserved lunch (and the mandatory Spanish ice cream), we head to the Adventure Park. Surrounded by trees, harnesses, and ziplines, the campers navigate high-rope circuits. It is a park full of challenges that teaches them to break through their fears and trust their own strength. It’s often our loudest activity, not just because of the adrenaline, but because of the non-stop laughter.
Safety: our non-negotiable foundation
We understand that as a parent, your primary concern is the well-being of your child. At My Spanish Camps, security is the basis of everything we do. Every trip and activity mentioned is handled by seasoned experts who have assessed every risk and implemented strict protocols. From professional surf coaches to certified rafting guides and our own bilingual monitors, we ensure that every adventure is a controlled, safe, and positive environment. We take care of the logistics and the safety, so your child can focus on the magic of the moment.
