Sleeping at camp: our essentials to ensure comfort and safety

Table of Contents

For many families, one of the biggest questions when choosing a summer camp is simple but essential: Where and how will my child sleep?” At our camp, nighttime is just as carefully planned as daytime activities. Our sleeping arrangements are designed to ensure comfort, safety, and a sense of belonging, helping campers rest well and wake up ready for new adventures.

Our Facilities: Designed for Every Age

Sleeping arrangements are adapted to each age group:

Younger campers stay in a hostel-style building, sleeping in shared rooms with bunk beds. These rooms are organized by age and gender and usually host around 12 children, allowing them to feel accompanied without being overwhelmed. Each bunk bed includes a mattress and pillow, so children only need to bring a few personal items to feel at home.

Older campers sleep in cabins with bunk beds and a capacity for up to 8 people. These cabins are also divided by age and gender, and campers usually share them with their friends or their reference group. This setup encourages independence while maintaining comfort and security.

What Campers Need to Bring

To ensure a cozy night’s sleep, campers should bring:

  • A sleeping bag.
  • Pajamas, preferably warm and comfortable in case temperatures drop at night.
  • A sleeping mat, needed for the night spent camping in tents after our hike.
  • A torch (flashlight), useful if they need anything during the night.

These items help children feel prepared and comfortable in every sleeping situation.

Nighttime Support and Supervision

One of the most reassuring aspects for families is our overnight supervision. Every sleeping area always has a counselor of the same gender sleeping in the same room as the campers. Their role is to ensure everything runs smoothly and that children feel safe and supported.

If a camper needs to go to the bathroom, feels unwell, or has any concern during the night, a counselor is immediately available to help. This constant presence creates a calm environment where children feel protected and cared for.

Helping Children Feel at Home

Sleeping away from home can be a new experience for many children. Our team of trained professionals understands this and provides emotional support, reassurance, and routines that help campers relax. Moreover, sharing rooms with peers also builds friendships and creates a comforting sense of community.

Rest Is Part of the Experience

A good night’s sleep is essential for a great camp experience. By combining well-adapted facilities, clear organization, and attentive supervision, we ensure that children feel safe, comfortable, and confident, which makes families feel at ease too.
