At My Spanish Camps, safety is the core foundation of everything we do. Families trust us with what matters most to them, and we take that responsibility with the utmost seriousness.
While our camp is a safe, controlled, and professionally evaluated environment where accidents are uncommon, we are fully prepared to respond quickly and effectively to any medical need that may arise.
Below, we explain how our medical care system works and the different layers of protection we have in place.
Prevention comes first: professional risk assessment
The safest emergency is the one that never happens.
All of our activities and facilities are carefully evaluated by risk assessment professionals. Each program is designed with meticulous planning to minimize potential dangers. Equipment, activity protocols, supervision ratios, and safety briefings are all structured to reduce risks to the lowest possible level.
Thanks to this thorough preparation, serious incidents are extremely rare. However, we understand that small unforeseen situations can still occur, and we are ready for them.

A team trained in first aid and equipped facilities
Every member of our counseling team is trained in first aid.
This means that no matter where campers are (during activities, in the cabins, or around the facilities) there is always a qualified adult ready to respond immediately.
From minor cuts and bruises to sudden discomfort or mild allergic reactions, our staff is prepared to act calmly, efficiently, and responsibly.
Fast response makes a difference, and our team is trained to provide it.
Our camp is fully equipped with the necessary materials and medical supplies to treat minor injuries and common health issues. Everything is handled following established protocols to ensure safety and hygiene.
Most situations that arise at camp are minor:
- Small injuries
- Headaches
- Mild stomach discomfort
- Heatstrokes
These can usually be treated safely on-site without the need for hospital care.
Our staff evaluates each situation carefully to determine the level of attention required.
Access to hospital care when needed
If, after evaluation, we determine that a camper requires medical examination beyond what can be provided at camp, we act immediately.
The nearest hospital is located just 30 minutes from our facilities. In case of need, we transport campers using our own camp vehicle, ensuring quick and safe access to professional medical services.
A responsible staff member always accompanies the camper and remains with them throughout the process.
Constant communication with families
We understand that medical situations can create concern for families, and especially when children are away from home.
That is why communication is immediate and transparent. In the event of any significant illness, injury, or medical evaluation outside the camp, families are contacted promptly and kept informed about:
- What happened
- What actions were taken
- The medical assessment
- The next steps
Our goal is to provide clarity and reassurance at all times.
Medication administration with full family authorization
For campers who require regular medication, we follow a strict and organized process.
Before camp begins, families complete and sign a detailed authorization form specifying:
- The medication
- Dosage
- Schedule
- Specific instructions
Our designated health coordinator administers all medication carefully and precisely according to the instructions provided.
This structured system allows children to relax and fully enjoy their camp experience, knowing their health needs are responsibly managed.
A safe environment that allows children to thrive
At My Spanish Camps, safety and care work quietly in the background so that children can focus on what truly matters: growing, exploring, making friends, and living an unforgettable experience.
Our layered approach (prevention, trained staff, health professionals, hospital access, and constant communication) ensures that campers are protected at every stage. You you need more details on medical management or info about the programs, click here to contact our team.
