About the Camp
- What is My Spanish Camps, and what makes it unique?
My Spanish Camps is a premier summer program in northern Spain designed for international campers aged 6-18. Our unique approach combines Spanish language immersion with thrilling adventure activities and cultural exploration, creating an unforgettable experience for your child.
- Why should I choose a summer camp in Spain for my child?
A camp in Spain offers your child the chance to learn Spanish in an authentic environment while experiencing Spanish culture firsthand. It’s an opportunity to grow, make international friendships, and build confidence.
- What age groups do you cater to, and how are activities tailored for them?
We welcome campers aged 6-18. Activities are carefully tailored to each age group, ensuring they are both challenging and enjoyable for every participant.
Is My Spanish Camps suitable for children who don’t speak Spanish?
Absolutely! Our programs are designed for all levels of Spanish proficiency. Campers will learn through daily classes and fun, interactive activities, with bilingual staff available to assist as needed.
Daily Life at Camp
- What is a typical day like at My Spanish Camps?
Each day is packed with adventure, learning, and fun. Campers start with a lively morning, enjoy multi-adventure activities like kayaking or climbing, take part in creative workshops, and end the day with evening games or shows.
- What kind of meals are provided, and can you accommodate special dietary needs?
We serve five healthy, home-cooked meals daily, including options for celiacs, vegetarians, diabetics, and other special dietary requirements.
- Where will my child sleep, and what are the accommodations like?
Your child will stay in comfortable campus-style rooms or outdoor cabins.
Program Value
- What skills and benefits will my child gain from attending My Spanish Camps?
Campers develop language proficiency, cultural awareness, independence, teamwork skills, and lifelong friendships, all while having the adventure of a lifetime.
- How can I stay updated on my child’s activities during camp?
Parents have access to our “Live Updates” platform, which features daily photos, highlights, and updates from camp activities. In addition, they will have a weekly video call to see how much fun they are having and how much they have learned.
- It’s my first camp abroad. How do I work on homesickness with my child?
Camps are a time of growth for children and young people, it makes them leave their comfort zone, so it is very likely that they may have (especially the first few times) episodes of homesickness. These moments appear especially when talking on the phone with parents, so we invite you to follow these suggestions to help the child:
- Explain what the experience of meeting other campers from around the world will be like.
- Allow the camper to bring an object to accompany him/her in this experience.
- Explain that it is normal for them to miss their family.
- Say goodbye quickly and simply, without conveying concern to the camper. They should recognize that this experience is a gift you are giving them.
Language Immersion
- How will my child learn Spanish at the camp?
Your child will practice Spanish daily through immersive activities, one-hour language classes tailored to their level, and constant interaction with Spanish campers and staff.
- Will my child be with other international campers or mostly Spanish children?
Our camps are primarily composed of Spanish campers, with 90% of attendees coming from Spain. The remaining 10% represent a diverse group of international campers from various countries. This ensures an authentic cultural immersion experience, allowing your child to practice Spanish naturally while making friends from around the world.
- Are Spanish classes included, and how are they structured?
Yes, we include one hour of daily Spanish classes designed to improve your child’s language skills in a fun, interactive way. Classes are grouped by proficiency level to maximize learning.
What if my child struggles with the language?
Will they have support?Our bilingual staff and small group settings ensure that every camper has the support they need to feel comfortable and confident.
Safety and Supervision
- How do you ensure my child’s safety during activities and excursions?
Safety is our top priority. All activities are supervised by certified instructors, and our team follows strict ISO9001-certified safety protocols. We also have 24/7 medical and emergency support on-site.
- What is the camper-to-staff ratio?
Our camper-to-staff ratio is designed to provide individualized attention and ensure safety, with one monitor for every 7 campers.
- My child has allergies or needs to take medication during the camp, will he/she be monitored by the person in charge of My Spanish Camps?
Campers who have any allergies or need to take medication must communicate it in the registration form (medical report section). The person in charge of My Spanish Camps will carry out a daily and exhaustive follow-up.
- Are the staff trained in first aid and child supervision?
Yes, all staff members are certified in first aid and have extensive experience in child supervision and outdoor activities.
- What measures are in place to handle emergencies?
We have a detailed emergency protocol, a 24-hour on-site vehicle, and direct communication with local healthcare facilities to address any situation promptly.
Travel and Logistics
- How does airport pickup and drop-off work?
Our team will personally meet your child at the designated Spanish airport and provide a safe, comfortable transfer to and from the camp location.
- What travel documents does my child need for Spain?
International campers will need a valid passport. For non-European travelers, a visa may be required. We recommend checking with your local consulate for specific requirements.
- What happens if my child’s flight is delayed or arrives late?
Our team closely monitors flight schedules and will adjust pickup plans accordingly to ensure a smooth arrival.
Communication with the camp
- If I want to contact My Spanish Camps or my child, what do I have to do?
360 Camp has a telephone service that offers an optional video call to each camper each week of the camp. If for extraordinary reasons you need to contact your child, you can call us at 676 111 411 / 666 290 890, 24 hours a day. Please understand that this may interfere with the development of the activities, so we ask that calls are made strictly necessary.
